I am having the same problem.

Camtwist is completely removed from my computer, I am sure about that. However facebook will still not let me record videos or take pictures. I did what a few people suggested--right clicking, going to settings and changing the webcam to USB Video class video but that was not an option on my webcam list. (http://allocinit.com/index.php?title=CamTwist.Facebook)

Please help, I regret downloading this in the first place and just want to be able to use Facebook normally again.

What are the symptoms you're having? You try to record a video and what happens?

Did you run the uninstaller? Did you remove the CamTwist component?

What version of flash do you have? Check here http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

It does not recognize any webcam. It says "camera not found. Please turn your camera on or make sure that it is not in use by other applications."The green light does not even light up. I never had this problem before I installed camtwist.

I have run the uninstaller component, and I've cleared my trash and double checked by searching "camtwist" in the spotlight and nothing shows up.

I have version 10,1,102,64 installed.

Just make sure that the CamTwist component is gone from /Library/QuickTime and that you've restarted your browser.

Do you have the google talk plugins installed also? You'll have to remove that too.

I understand your frustration but your blame is pointed in the wrong direction. The current version of the flash plugin is broken with respect to being able to select cameras. As soon as your have more than 1 camera to choose from, which would happen if you install CamTwist or google talk extensions (among others), you'll be in trouble.

To fix the problem you'll need to either downgrade the flash player or remove the other camera components from your system.

You can follow the progress of the bug here http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-5730

If you're still having problems, you can email me and I'll help you remove and/or downgrade via iChat.

Should I download the 32 bit release player or the 32 bit content debugger player?
