Camtwist to external display

Postby jbaileypro » Tue Dec 23, 2008 8:46 am

Hey!

I have been looking at camtwist for a while now but I want to be able to use it at shows (eg gigs) because of the studio view and being able to quickly through different sources in. The only problem is that rather than sending it as a stream I want to be able to send a full screen image to the external display (couple of projectors, monitors and also some tvs). I have got that all set up (used for ppt and video production but just need to know how to send a full screen image of the output to them.

Cheers,
JJ

Full screen output and higher resolutions will be in the next release. For now, you're somewhat limited to running something like Quicktime Player (if you have pro) or some other app that can display a camera feed.

Cheers,
Thanx for your help! If you need any help with the feature in the next release don't hesitate to contact. I see how the quicktime way will work.

Cheers, and thanks for all your help,

Hey again,
I very sorry to bother you again but I got quicktime player (pro version) to view it by going into new movie recording and it shows the feed which is all good except i can't view it full screen (the option is grayed out). I have also played with quicktime broadcaster etc but there is the buffer (2-3s) which is unbearable to put on to live screens. I have also googled around for some webcam viewers (most of them are those picture ones) but none of them work as want it to.

Do you know any good apps or ways to be able to do this (in full screen) without much lag and any window showing.

Cheers,
JJ

Is this feature now available in 2.0? I just downloaded and started using cam twist 2.0 and want to broadcast video to the 12 42" LCD monitors in the nightclub I am at using Cam twist.. (going out of my mac video output source)

If I could get my preview window to expand to a full size window it would great. Except if I click on FULL SCREEN (it says NONE) and I haven't been able to figure out how to get the full screen to work?

Do you have the second screen attached now? It should show up. Camtwist will not list the primary screen.

thanks steve.. I figured it out shortly after I wrote the first post. If you could unlock it so it shows on the main screen that would be cool. Other than that, your incredible, the program is incredible, and gosh darn't people like you.
